Thanks so much for visiting and don't forget to share the love! Let's keep in touch. You can follow me on Twitter or be a friend on Facebook. How about RSS? I'll talk to you soon! :)
I spoke about my first ban ever from both Blogger and WordPress.com for doing reviews on reports I’ve gotten from subscriptions. This was mentioned when I wrote How Blog Profits Blueprint Got Me.
I’m not going to blame Yaro Starak of Entrepreneur’s Journey for it.
In fact, the lesson I learned from it put into perspective why it’s necessary to self-host your own blog on a premium web hosting server.
So way before Blogging For dot INFO was conceived, it was part of a sub-domain of Bookmark Love, a domain which I named and acquired as a freebie from my web hosting provider, Blue Host. Don’t ask me why I named it that. It was something which came at the spur of the moment, way before I knew what search engine optimization was.
Going back to our subject, with that domain name, I put a blog to it and called it Blog Profits. It’s mission was to be a dashboard for the lessons I’m going to work with inside the Blog Mastermind program. Note: I got these on a weekly basis.
As I received the first lesson, it was already done and over with. Easy as cheese. However, the time which I have left with getting familiar with the idea of the blogging mindset became a vicious cycle.
I documented these struggles through:
- How Do You Know When It’s Time?
- Half the Dip But Not Worth Quitting
- Give It Up and Take Your Interests to the Next Level
- Money, Broken Dreams and Learning to Bark
- When Life Gives You Poverty, The First Thing You Need to Know is How To Be Happy
This process pretty much continued on throughout the first month. The path then turned towards envisioning and finally actionable results, in this case, it meant writing posts effectively. This took on a few more weeks.
With that I wrote:
- Finding A Topic Shouldn’t Be Complex
- Sometimes Knowing What YOU Want Takes Time
- Finding Better Content – A Journey to the Book Store and Back
- Consistency Is Key When Your Vision For Blogging is Slim
- Analyzing the Blogging Process
- Find Your Moonlighting Strategy to Writing Good Content
I found that the stress which came with internalizing this next process decreased pass 30 days. So if you’re still blogging beyond the month consistently and daily, congratulations. It’s hard work! With that regard, you’ll begin to see changes which will make you become more articulate towards outside forces like blog commenting and reviewing other blogger’s work.
Over time, while profits was enticing, it wasn’t becoming my sole aim. So I moved Blog Profits by purchasing another domain to call it to yours truly, Blogging For dot INFO. Little did I know that the mission of that first day will change over time. From theme changes, to widget positioning, I must have been testing things so much it became overwhelming. Check out my timeline for more in depth action.
Will this happen to you?
While all bloggers are different, I believe the first month is crucial in establishing a blogging process long-term. I’m planning to write my first e-book on this topic and give it away for FREE. I hope it’s something that will help other up and coming bloggers who approach the blogosphere with enthusiasm as I did, find it resourceful.
Because you’ll be bombarded with a lot of elements and it’s not even funny to think about the end result, the one thing that keeps you going is work. Yes, there’s work involved with blogging. It can be a lot of fun so I’ll try not to make it sound so technical.
Another thing you need to have is faith. You’re going to find yourself crushed, unmotivated and even faltered some days but eventually, time will show you who’s stronger, your efforts or your demons. This is going to build your strength with blogging. Particularly, you’re going to have reasons to keep on blogging. Mainly because it will be your voice, your thoughts and your interests.
Don’t put yourself down by denying you the initiative of free expression. You’ll be surprised to see who’ll defend this faith of yours. So while it took several blogs to finally say enough is enough with the decisions, as I mentioned yesterday on how relationships can teach you a lot about building your e-mail list, it’s also relevant historically with blogging.
Build you and you will open up a dimension of other you in many different colors, faces and voices.
What does your history say about your blogging?
