Submit Your Haikus For Blogging

I want to invite bloggers or users who are interested in blogging to be creative and submit their haikus below.

Haiku is a Japanese form of poetry with 17 sounds collectively. It consists of 3 lines with phrases in the form of 5-7-5. These phrase would be independent of each other but more or less show understanding towards one another. When you read them out loud, it would be within a breath.

Please share with me your thoughts, experiences and frustrations on blogging.

Mines are below.

. . . . . . .
I have wordpress installed,
plug-ins galore arouse me
as my blog sings now.
. . . . . . .
Topic comes and goes,
a picture paints in my mind
to fill the colors.
. . . . . . .
A tweet updates me,
as a tunnel of ‘chutes
falls on top of me at once.
. . . . . . .
Ten comments today,
my race towards giving out
roses that won’t fade.
. . . . . . .
The sound of typing,
everyone is waking up
as the sun rises.
. . . . . . .
A new friend found me,
the link was below my blog
and I said hi.
. . . . . . .
Ebooks sit gently,
my hard drive is full of thoughts
to blog for this life.
. . . . . . .
I write quickly,
the car honks outside
and someone screams ‘move!’
. . . . . . .
A simple link here,
bodies from the blogosphere
comes fast to find out.
. . . . . . .
Cut and paste systems,
all bloggers write the same way
and find themselves lost.
. . . . . . .
I keep my pen close,
an e-mail says webinar
on making money .
. . . . . . .
So much for success,
it looks so hard at first
then hits heavy fast.
. . . . . . .
Goals and dreams don’t die,
opportunity knocks twice
and belief sinks in.
. . . . . . .
When some bloggers sleep,
the comments of users drop by
and contact is made.
. . . . . . .
Nothing is easy,
simple thinking makes dreaming
a reality.
. . . . . . .

Submit your creative haiku on what blogging means or is to you below. I’d love to hear what it is you have to say about blogging in 17 sounds.

    says:

Why did it have to be Haiku?

Why couldn’t it be limericks. I know a great one about a man from Nantucket…

anyway, though I have no talent at this at all I will give it a (poor) attempt….

OK… all that came to my mind was limericks so I went that way instead (I must be too Irish):

If only I knew a Haiku
I would love to share one with you
I would write it and gloat
It would be so good you could quote
The ones I made though, simply sounded like spew

    Lying lethargic in bed
    My brain was quite dead
    I tried some haiku
    It sounded like poo
I went lazy with limericks instead

    OK …I cheated

But if you don’t cheat, you aren’t trying, right?
