Well, I’ve found out that I was using a version of WordPress that did not work well with some of the plugins. Hence, there was so server errors which I didn’t understood but it caused my host to slow down as well. What I did was updated everything and viola! It worked. No more complaints. Sometimes the simplest things is an update, if not, you’re probably at risk yourself playing with old software.

Sites should not be going down that often. If you are a web hosting service, your entire goal should be to keep your site up and customers happy!

Hi Tinh,

I think after I’m done with my annual subscription, I’ll try Hostgator and so on. It’s continually testing your host provider to see what’s good for you. Thanks for sharing your thoughts here. As I know that I haven’t yet experienced any bad service, it’s reason why I’m still here. The downtimes though, if they continue can become a future problem that’s all. Thanks for your suggestion and input!

My advice is to switch to HostGator @Thu. I had bad experience with BlueHost. I got DDos and they suspended my account and kick me out while HostGator helped me to prevent DDos and great support so far. I got DDos attacks 3 times last week but after nearly a hour, everything is fine.

Hi crazypenguin.

Wow, you’ve gotten a lot of difficulties with Bluehost. I just went through your blog and it goes way back to early 2008. I’m sorry this has happened to you. Not only that, it’s continuous. I appreciate the feedback. I’ve had one stint with downtimes with them and so far the only thing is it gets slow in the wee early AMs. I guess on an international level traffic could be immense. As of the moment, it’s back to normal so I hope none of the bad luck happens again.

Thanks. I’ve heard a lot about HostGator and it was one of my first choices however I went with BlueHost. Will try HostGator soon but not for the moment. Appreciate you coming by and taking out the time to comment. Also thanks with the coupon code.

sad to hear that. i totally agree with you. Few of my clients website was hosted with BlueHost and when i started working with my clients we too faced many such problems. Sometime it goes down without notification, no answer, no emails so i shifted all my clients website to HostGator including my Blog.
