Most of us try to make a presence for ourselves by building a voice. We can get lost in this life until we finally say what it is that we want to say.
I don’t want to be one of those lost souls.
I don’t even know if how I’m writing is really my active voice.
I’m throwing things against the wall.
But it seems the simplest things have meaning. And if you don’t recognize how powerful your voice may be to create a visual, you might never be able to express yourself completely.
Let’s take writing for example. It comes in many different forms and depending on your purpose or not, you’ll want to completely form your subject all around. That’s where many of us are lazy. We only touch upon our interest. However we have so many interests they really never get to mature.
So the next part is sacrifice.
You got to give up something. When you do, it’s this loss which looks for content to make up for the gaping void. You’ll start to accumulate things. Naturally you’ll end up with a library. So as your interests grow, information does as well.
Today I want to talk about interests.
What my interests are and how I have come about them with the actions involved are just some of the details I have scratched the surface with. I don’t have any formal business training and I don’t like crowded places to tell you the truth. But like many others who have gone online, I did it because there is opportunity here. I got sold into the thinking that the success and dollar signs and those who talk about them will one day be mine as well.
I have a feeling that I’m wrong.
I know nothing about internet marketing but that it’s saturated with many bodies floating around buzzing about things they like. I use my time online in a recreational way so to make it become work is kind of dreadful now isn’t it? The transition from hobby to professional service takes a bit of molding. When you’ve taste success, you’ve got it made.
Is that going to be my vision?
That’s going to be my goal?
I’m going to miss my online drifting life and now instead of getting tied to life offline, I’m also tied to life online.
What ever happened to no strings attached?
It doesn’t build much credential and it’s a lonely process but there’s a part of us that just wants to take back. And Yaro talked about this as the giving mindset in our first few months.
How do you know that the topic you’ve chosen isn’t right for you?
How long must you write before you decide to monetize?
That is typical of life as well. When there’s not much else to consume for long spurts. Interests come and go. Wax and wane like the moon and day. So for long-term commitment, your topic may fall off just as it did going in. So all that accessorizing, well the fashion just plain died in you.
I think the best way to go about it is to say I don’t care.
I don’t really care about what you think or the whole of the latter for that matter.
Who cares about the abundant information out there that says do this or do that. I’m going to make it no matter what.
Who cares!
I want to be realistic here. If I’m slipping I’ll just catch myself and fix it up right here.
First of all, I’m not a talker. I’m a note taker, highlighter and an information sponge with less much else to say but instill that of which I think provokes thought. Being that it’s a very unstable position to be in, the eccentricity of this writing style may make my readers uncomfortable. But for now, it suits me and I want to roll with it.
So today, I’m going to make a sacrifice.
As you may have noticed, I decided to change things around for a bit. The way the last theme was situated made the blog seem more desperate. I don’t want to be lured into something that someone else reading would feel as well. So I took up this minimal styled theme where the articles can stand on its own.
Next, I took off the affiliate banners as they don’t do much but flash as eye candy and are distracting for now. I then removed the feedburner and twitter stats because I was checking too much into them to see how much followers or subscribers I had. It got too addictive. The numbers were throwing me off my focus.
The content is what matters now.
Back to square one and leaving out all the complex arrows which shoots towards this blog.
Monetization can come later.
