Happy Friday everyone!
I’m going to pass over another Biography Fridays and it’s for good reasons.
There are more important matters in terms of facing and today’s topic is something very real.
After our last conversation about overcoming blogger’s crisis, I thought about the path with great emphasis on the actions that I will soon be making online, and I am afraid.
I am so afraid that I’ve even convinced myself, I need to have fear in order to succeed. However, another fear appears – the thought of never getting around to seeing success.
And I think it is this cycle that we can viciously run around in until the very last breath of air ceases to exist. So how many levels of fear are there?
Now that’s quite a thought.
What I want to do is look at it constructively.
What then can we do if we’re in such a state of mind?
Well, if you’re tired, your decisions will not be clear. Furthermore, fear drains you of the energy and the motivation you need to ignite the passion that is inside of you.
Taking a look back at the months I’ve graciously volunteered to research, gather and document information which I have no doubt readers will enjoy from this blog, I have continued to stick to that process and have not failed in that endeavor since.
That’s something that I’m proud of.
But fear can rid you of that pride.
It’s burning my insides as well and I’m frustrated. And I’m really pushing myself to get out of the rut, because I know that I’m three feet away from seeing gold. I feel my limbs telling me that it wants to give up. However, I’m not like that.
I’m going to be stubborn and the contradiction is, I foresee good things coming.
Somehow, when you invite fear in and let it mutate itself into your thinking, you’re in for a challenge. One which might be the best of your life. However, you won’t see it that way.
You’ll think that it’s a sign to stop, to quit, to run, to cease action.
I have felt all that and confided in my network of friends.
And I am still feeling it.
At times it puts me in a state of paralysis.
And there will be much more greater challenges that will ask me to be strong.
If I am not taking care of the health of the process now, I will honestly never know.
And that is a thought I want to share with you.
We will all fall into the side effects of fear – uncertainty, paralysis, mind-warped thinking.
So you have to be honest with what you’re doing, who you’re working with and what you’ll do.
And you need a plan. Construct a point of reference through which you will follow and stick to it. It’s going to require discipline and that’s where the progression will be seen.

I will be honest with you, it’ll take more than a couple of tries but that’s the process.
This is why I believe there should be some standard to what you do online, a strict discrimination to the type of information you might read. At first I thought about this and I am against actions which puts me in a corner which I have to choose. However, you cannot please everyone.
You must make a choice whether you are ready or not.
The worse that can happen is you’ll fail.
However, if you haven’t accepted it yet, mistakes will make you the expert.
And because perfection is ideal, it’s not the reality which we live in. If that was the case, we’ll all be achieving our goals right now. However, we’re human and in order to understand ourselves, our strengths and finally, opportunities, weaknesses must be overcome.
So for you to get to point B, consider filtering out some grounds which you’ll like to communicate on, and it can be shocking what you’ll see.
Focus and you won’t drain yourself away from getting to your goal.
Furthermore, I am grateful for being around a community which allows me to reveal my weaknesses. Because I am no superwoman. I’m just like you. I have a dream which I want to put into action and through a plan I can make it successful.
And I believe that’s going to happen.
I believe you will achieve that level of success too.
Together, we can.
And nothing beats an environment through which you can grow gracefully.
So thank you for letting me be me with you. I’m thankful for the support I have now with the new connections I have online.
That is something money will never buy.
I want you to think about the support you have as well. The energy they have given to you to help you no matter how long it took for you to get to the point you desire.
And because they have patiently been there for you, it’s something to honor.
Because it all comes down to compassion.
Let that overshadow your fear and put a smile on your face – your child, your significant other, your family. They all matter. Remember, no matter how many books, information and people you may surround yourself with, if you don’t get the message that awakes YOU to overcome your fear, perhaps you might not ever.
You might not achieve that vision you saw and furthermore, you’ll regret ever trying.
What do you think about fear? How has it turned you inside out?
I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Hi Thu,
I always remind myself that fear is really just a biological response to danger, it generates adrenaline and is supposed to protect us when we are taking risks. But when I step back and think things out, in particular realize what the goals are and acknowledge the risks and know that they are not truly life threatening, then it’s easier to get past your fears. I make a concerted effort to not let fear stop me from trying new things.

Hi Richard,
I see you have a plan with dealing with fear. Great insight! You’ve nailed it down to a process and even re-examine it from another perspective. My, how fear can be seen in many angles! However, what’s good about it is you don’t let it become big.
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on fear.
Have a great weekend Richard!

It’s funny Thu because when we think about it, as a child we weren’t afraid of failing because we just did what we want – if we wanted to try something we went out and did it – as we aged, people began to pressure us into thinking that if we tried that would be the biggest mistake of all.
In many ways we have to be open to something as if we were a child again – we have to just rush into it with blind guidance and tackle it head-on.
What I’ve been trying to do lately is just work on my projects without telling a lot of people – besides maybe a few (mastermind, family) but generally out of the public’s eye because the people you have weak ties to generally are the ones that will tell you that it won’t work. Why?! Have they tried it?! No!
I was listening to Crush It! again recently and Gary said a few lines that really resonated in me, it was basically: don’t look at the stats, don’t listen to what they’re saying, just keep your head down and keep going.
And that’s what it’s about. That’s the childhood mentality. People are going to hate on you no matter what you do so we have to disregard them, keep working and we’ll come out on top in the end.

Hehe Murray,
That absolutely does describe you doesn’t it? You’ve really nailed it down to beginnings and yes, as a child, we were unafraid. We went into things blindly and that naivete is something that makes us shine. Why it’s the honest, darn truth! LOL.
Like yourself, over the years, I’ve began to account myself to less folks and only to a trusted few because, what’s happening is, you’re getting older, you’re being judged on your responsibilities. So you’re right that you should only share what you should with those that want to hear and care. That’s quite a revelation!
As for Gary’s words, he’s speaking from the heart. I have a lot of respect for that guy. He has awesomely taken what he passionately created and is telling us, we can do the same. Hmmmm, reminds me, I’m going to take out that audiobook and put it on the laptop on breaks.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on fear Murray!

Fear is natural. Fear can even be good, as it is a response to keeping your ass from getting eaten by tigers.
But that is the important part. Fear should be meant to galvanize someone into action. If it paralyzes a person into inaction it is not doing it’s job. In my opinion it is a good thing to allow fear to let you be “wary” -there can be dangers out there- but it should never stop you from pursuing your desires.
After all fear came from when we were all still cavemen. It was correct to fear the big-assed Tiger, but that doesn’t mean that they stopped hunting for food. (or humans would not even exist)
One thing I heard once was a definition of heroism: True heroism is not an absence of fear (that’s stupidity) but pushing onward despite fear and danger

Wow, I definitely liked the caveman formation into humanity, overcoming the fear to face the Tiger. And you’re definitely point on about heroism with association to fear. Without, there would have been any push.

Great insights! Very though provoking post Thu.
Fear is natural but that doesn’t mean we should let this stop from what we want to achieve. Sometimes fear is essential for success…It can be the driving force that can guide us into the right path, right directions.
Inviting fear and letting it mutate in your thoughts..can definitely ignite the fire. And it is right the haters are always going to be there…so what..

Hey Adam!
Hehe, haters, I don’t really consider them as fear but that is one. Recently I looked over ‘Think and Grow Rich’. There was a chapter in there talking about the six ghosts of fear – poverty, criticism, ill health, loss of love of someone, old age and death. That really opened up my eyes more.
So I don’t want to invite too much in. Hehe, what if I can’t get out?!
Thanks so much for your thoughts on this!
Enjoy your weekend!

Hey Thu,
Great writing of yours ;D
I have to learn from your writing skill. Love the content.
To me, It is ok to have fear, because i am a human being, we all have fear, even if we don’t want it.
However, fear has limit, and let’s move on, and convert this fear’s solution to be our motivator.
Thanks for sharing the thought!

Hey Kimi!
Why thank you!
I love hearing from you and am glad that at least you’re getting something from what you’re reading here. And at least the main thing is I try.
I like your idea of converting the idea into something to motivate. Point is to move on, get what you can! Really simple and it does work.
However, sometimes I feel I need more than motivation. I need a big kick in the rear to get up, climb towards that thought-level of seeing beyond the clouds and grab it!
That’s the fear that kind of takes a hold of me. Tiring, I know, but as long as I keep it under control with a plan, which I’m learning to work on through structure and discipline, the rest as I believe, is a process.
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on fear!
Have a great weekend!

Everyone gets doubts and fears Thu.
We have to remind ourselves why we do things, and look at what we have achieved. Having short term targets is good for conquering fear. We can tick off each day or week another step towards our long term goal.
Just have faith in your direction, and enjoy the path you have taken, all the rewards will come naturally. 8)

Hiya John!
Great insights and I may have said that to many but you are all unique in your voice. I think that’s the thing about fear. It takes us to paths which we either can create better choices for ourselves or create better worries. LOL. Moreover, it’s an either/or situation.
Sometimes, we aren’t aware that there’s another side to the coin. And that’s the fear that keeps getting at me. I forget that there’s more than one path. Thus, it’s what you make of it!
Thanks so much for sharing your valuable thoughts on this matter!
Cheers!

You are quite true about the consequences that a fearful person faces and it seems that it just eat up a person that comes in its circle. I like one thing most is that “Focus”, which really earns great amount of success to a person that relies on it. Thanks for the great post…
Twitter: thublogger
says:
Hello Sebring Restaurant!
Focus will definitely get you pass the fear. In fact, if you can make it loud enough, it can even crush it! I find that, distractions tend to pile up when you invite fear in and it will make a ‘busy fool’ of you. I’ve learned that recently and it’s so true!
If you can constructively center your energies around the focus you need to get pass the fear and attain your goals, you’re one step closer to understanding your fear.
Thanks so much for your feedback!

Hi Thu,
We are always looking for perfection. The fear of something not being perfect can hold us back. What ever we do just get out there an do it. This really holds me back.
I am creating a report or ebook you could call it now as I am adding to it all the time. I am going back looking at it changing things, not happy with this and that. I should listen to my self and just get it out there.
I have the fear of it not being good enough and what people may think of it. You can always change things later if it was not up to standard. So maybe I should go over to the mirror and start telling myself what I preach!!!!
Cheers

Hi Craig!
This really comes in at a great time. I’m in the process of creating my e-course for my mailing list and you can say that, yes, something is holding me back. Frustrated, I’m am learning to overcome this feeling and I believe I will too.
There’s no reason to let the thoughts cripple me, but my, you’re right, this back-and-forthness can get darn tiring. It’s all a matter of just doing it and doing it with gusto. Be proud of it and when you get something back, also be proud that you got a response.
That’s how I’m going to see it now. It’s not about right or wrong. It’s about taking action and fear puts labels that stops you to think irrationally. Hehe. That’s just me, but I thank you for sharing your obstacles as well with fear and how you’re going to turn it inside out.
I think what’s important is to face it and recognize that you can change it.
Thanks so much once again for your awesome feedback!

Hi Thu, thanks for being so honest about what’s going on with you! We all have fear, and we all fall short of perfection. I also find that taking a break and then making a plan really helps get the fear under control. Talking it out with someone you trust like a family member or someone in a mastermind group with you can give a fresh perspective.
I also like your point about tiredness being a problem. Frequently problems look smaller after a good night’s sleep!
I really like Murray’s point about children being not afraid to try new things. I was struck by this when I was watching a karate demonstration on Friday. The two boys (maybe 6 or 7 years old) were not shy at all about asking for cues on what to do next in front of a crowd of people. Most adults would be totally embarrassed to forget something and beat themselves up for failing, but kids accept that they don’t know most things. I think it’s great to try to have a childlike attitude about things.

Yes, I’m not the best when it comes to admitting that I’m afraid. I go head on into the process and then, whoops, man am I scared. So yes, when I do find out, it’s a life-changing event. I know I have to take care of it otherwise, I’ll stop everything I’ll do.
Call it doubts, paralysis, yes, it’s returning to a child-like state and even then, fear persists. So far, I’ve come to accept that the only that I’ll overcome it is to stare it straight in the eye and say, ‘I dare you to stop me!’
That there makes it a game and back to the kid to play!
im so happy this is nice ……I’m not the best when it comes to admitting that I’m afraid. I go head on into the process and then, whoops, man am I scared. So yes, when I do find out, it’s a life-changing event. I know I have to take care of it otherwise, I’ll stop everything I’ll do.

I think that’s such a cool name! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on fear. I’m absolutely like yourself. In fact, what’s more prominent is that when I learn that I’m afraid, it’s always coming from some influence, so you have to question whether it’s actually yourself who’s afraid. When I wrote this article, what’s really relevant was the fear of NOT succeeding. That’s quite scary indeed. Overall, learn yourself, your limit and how you can overcome it.
Time is on your side my friend. Appreciate you taking out the time to comment and welcome to Blogging For!

Having fear is normal but running away from it is a coward people do. Facing your fear is what we supposed to do and overcoming it is an achievement that you can face any small or big trials along your way. After all what we have learned from that experience makes us a better individual to succeed on our chosen path.

Thank you Andrew for your take on this post.
Yes, fear can be many things but it’s also like love too. It can be confusing sometimes because once you go in deep, there’s many layers there you weren’t aware of before.
I agree that sometimes fear can hold us back, but I’ve found that fear can actually be a really good thing if you look at it from a different angle. If you fear failure or not achieving your goals, you try to keep yourself away from it as much as possible, thus you strive harder and become more determined. It’s not a good thing if it cripples or overwhlems us, but I think we all need a little fear to keep ourselves on track.
